Meet Dr. Peifer

Dr. Peifer earned his bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University and then went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Indiana State University.  After graduating top of his class and earning the award for Outstanding Achievements and Performance in Oral Surgery, he applied and was admitted into the highly competitive Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at Indiana University Medical Center.  During the next four years of this vigorous residency program Dr. Peifer became proficient in maxillofacial reconstruction, trauma, general anesthesia, bone grafting, and dental implants.  Dr. Peifer graduated in 2015 from the Indiana University Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency program and joined a private practice in Indiana.  He spent the next 5 years growing the practice, opening up a second location all while continuing to service the local hospitals facial trauma.  Although Dr. Peifer loved his patients, and the area, the opportunity presented itself to move to Southern California and to return to where he was raised and so he decided to make a change.  He is so excited to be a part of the Huntington Beach community!

Dr. Peifer is board certified by the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.  He is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association.  In June 2011, he was recognized for Outstanding Achievements and Performance in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.  Dr. Peifer is currently on staff at Long Beach Memorial Hospital, Orange Coast Memorial Hospital, Miller’s Children’s Hospital and Fountain Valley Regional Hospital where he participates in facial reconstructive and trauma cases.  

Dr. Peifer grew up in Southern California and is excited to be back home doing what he loves, practicing full scope Oral Surgery and being close to family and friends.  He loves being outdoors and especially loves mountain biking, dirt biking, snowboarding, and spending time with his wife Karen and their 4 children.
